The Shortcut to a Recruitment Campaign That Made the Brand Stand Out

Imagine a market where everyone is essentially saying the same thing. The same services. The same selling points. The same stock photos of happy families. And the same battle for customers, who often compare providers based on the size of their benefits alone. That was exactly the environment we entered with Zdravotní pojišťovna Ministerstva vnitra České republiky (ZP MV ČR).

The brief looked challenging even on paper. Create a recruitment campaign that would attract new policyholders, transform the brand's communication and lay the foundations for long-term brand building. And we had just about six weeks to make it happen.

A Diamond Hidden in the Data

Speed doesn't have to mean improvisation. As always, we started with data. In the case of ZP MV ČR, we didn't have to rely solely on syndicated research or ad hoc surveys. The client already had access to a robust and up-to-date brand tracking study. It revealed an insight that completely changed the way we thought about the brand. Although the insurer had spent years building its communication around its numerical identifier "211", people actually recognized it most easily by its rather tongue-twisting acronym. That insight became the foundation of a new creative platform built around the claim: ZP MV ČR – The Only Shortcut to Your Health (in Czech: ZP MV ČR – Jediná zkratka pro vaše zdraví)

PZV, SLD, DZS, TVK

We built the entire campaign around one simple idea: the world is full of abbreviations. Some make no sense at all. Others only seem meaningful at first glance. But when it comes to your health, there's only one abbreviation that truly matters. So we paired absurd, made-up acronyms with the real benefits offered by ZP MV ČR. People were invited to choose, for example: PZV – a Portable Confession Tree (in Czech: Přenosná Zpovědní Vrba) or 4 000 Kč towards mental health care. VPO – a Wonderfully Anti-Touch Shield (in Czech: Vykutálená Protidotyková Ochrana) or 2 000 Kč towards children's vaccinations. Dozens of these acronym-benefit combinations were created. Each one helped strengthen brand memorability while showcasing the insurer's advantages in a way that was virtually unheard of in the health insurance category.

When Everyone Looks the Same

Thanks to an unconventional „big idea“ rooted in data, we managed to stand out in a category where everyone had been playing by the same rules for years.

Big number + stock photo = advertisement

Contribution for swimming? A person in a swimming pool. Contribution for sports? A child wearing a helmet. Contribution for preventive care? A smiling family. The visuals changed but only the logo did. We decided to play a different game. ZP MV ČR gained a distinctive visual identity and finally broke away from a sea of health insurance brands that had become almost impossible to tell apart.

Looking for a Doctor

The campaign culminated in a TV commercial built around a situation every parent knows all too well: finding a pediatrician. While a slightly absent-minded dad is busy in the basement inventing yet another meaningless acronym, the mum already knows there's a much simpler solution: contact ZP MV ČR.

Humour, a strong script and meticulous production came together to create a commercial that worked not only creatively but, above all, as a powerful branding tool. The client's acronym was naturally woven into almost every scene, ensuring the brand remained present from the opening seconds to the final frame.

140% of the Target Doesn't Happen by Chance

The new creative platform delivered far more than stronger brand communication. It achieved exactly what a recruitment campaign is designed to do: drive new policyholder registrations. Instead of the planned 2 500 new registrations, the campaign generated 3,501 – achieving 140% of the original target.

The Brand Grew Too

The campaign significantly improved every key brand metric:

Top-of-mind awareness increased by 27 %

compared with the baseline

Unaided brand awareness increased by 30%

compared with the baseline

Aided brand awareness increased by 9%

compared with the baseline

The results proved that the ZP MV ČR acronym was not only a powerful creative device but also a highly effective brand asset.

And the Media Delivered

The campaign reached millions of people across all major media channels. Meta generated 15 million impressions, reaching 2.46 million accounts. YouTube delivered 14.3 million impressions, TikTok added another 7 million, while display advertising achieved a unique reach of 3.17 million people. Compared to the insurer's previous campaigns, both the pre-roll videos and the hero film achieved higher completion rates. The Meta conversion campaign also exceeded expectations, reaching 141% of its planned performance, driving 6,201 visits to the registration form and generating more than 1,100 reactions and comments. Across Google, Sklik, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and display advertising, every campaign delivered between 100% and 141% of its planned target. Not a single channel underperformed.
